Coworking at Byte & Mortar: What You Need to Know

The number of coworking spaces in operation around the globe doubled between 2015 and 2018 (Coworking Resources). And it isn’t difficult to see why: coworking spaces are affordable, offer all the amenities of a traditional office, meanwhile granting the flexibility necessary to run your business however you choose.

I recently started a new blog series for Meller Marketing, detailing our experiences at various coworking spaces throughout Metro Detroit. Check out my last blog in this series about our visit to Bamboo Detroit.

Byte & Mortar: Impressions

From the contemporary reception area to the private offices lining the path to the coworking area, Byte & Mortar feels professional and modern. The coworking area at Byte & Mortar is clean and bright with lots of naturally lighting. The light fixtures, open ceiling, and high-top tables are subtly industrial; while across the room, bean bag chairs and leg rests add a light-hearted and relaxed dimension to the room. The internet is reliable and fast; and power outlets are arrayed anywhere you need them.

The coworking community is friendly and inviting. We made multiple connections with other coworkers during our short visit to Byte & Mortar.

Down the hall, there is a printing station, a phone room (set up like a phone booth for keeping those business calls contained), a micro-kitchen equipped with coffee and tea, a conference room that you can book for private meetings, and many private offices.

Plans & Pricing

Plans at Byte & Mortar are conveniently split into two categories—from which their name is derived: Byte (virtual office services) and Mortar (physical office space). Byte & Mortar offers two plans in each category: Mail Services and Voice Services (virtually); Coworking and Private Office (physical).

Additionally, if you'd like to book a conference room or private office for a meeting or short-term work space, Byte & Mortar has the following options available:

Byte & Mortar is located at 2609 Crooks Rd in Troy, MI, on the west side of Crooks Rd just south of Big Beaver Rd.

Because many coworking spaces are located in urban areas, parking is usually an inconvenience. But that isn't the case here: parking at Byte & Mortar is free in the adjoining parking lot. This is huge benefit for you and especially your clients!
